State gaming officials with the South Dakota Lottery have officially released the winning number combination for the Millionaire for Life evening drawing conducted on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Players across South Dakota who participated in the weekend drawing are encouraged to review their printed tickets against the verified state results to check for winning matches.
According to the official drawing results, the winning numbers drawn for the September 13 Millionaire for Life game were 05, 08, 27, 40, and 46. In addition to the five primary numbers, the Bonus number selected during the Sunday evening drawing was 01. Players who purchased entries for this specific date must match the designated combination according to state payout tables to qualify for the respective prize tiers.
Millionaire for Life represents one of several core draw games administered by the South Dakota Lottery to provide state residents with opportunities to win recurring and lump-sum cash prizes. The game maintains a regular daily drawing schedule, with numbers generated every night of the week at 10:15 p.m. Central Time.
In conjunction with the publication of the latest winning digits, the South Dakota Lottery has reiterated the standard operating procedures that winners must follow to redeem their earnings. The specific redemption method required by the state is determined by the total monetary value of the prize indicated on the validated ticket.
For payouts valued at $100 or less, the redemption process is simple and localized. Bettors holding tickets that have won amounts within this threshold are permitted to redeem their cash directly at any authorized South Dakota Lottery retailer operating within the state boundaries.
Prizes valued at $101 or more, however, cannot be paid out over the counter at retail establishments and must instead be formally claimed directly through the South Dakota Lottery. Participants wishing to submit their winning claims by mail are required to complete an official state claim form and package it securely alongside the original signed winning ticket.
Mailed claims must be addressed directly to the central headquarters of the South Dakota Lottery, located at 711 E. Wells Avenue, Pierre, SD 57501. State officials advise players claiming prizes via postal delivery to ensure the reverse side of the ticket is properly signed prior to shipment to establish legal ownership of the document.
Distinct and heightened claiming requirements are enforced for top-tier prizes across the lottery's regional and multi-state gaming portfolio. For instance, any player holding a jackpot-winning ticket for Dakota Cash or Lotto America must present the ticket in person at an official South Dakota Lottery office.
In-person presentation requirements also apply to top prize winners in the daily Lucky for Life game, as well as players who win the secondary prize level in nationwide multi-state drawings like Powerball and Mega Millions. In each of these specific high-value cases, the ticket holder is required to appear at an authorized lottery office to complete identity verification and claim processing.
The most stringent security protocols apply to grand jackpot winners for multi-state jackpot games. Anyone fortunate enough to hold a jackpot-winning ticket for either Powerball or Mega Millions is legally required to present that winning ticket in person specifically at the main South Dakota Lottery office in Pierre.
The South Dakota Lottery maintains a comprehensive schedule of weekly and daily drawings across its various games. Lottery drawings occur consistently throughout the evening hours, beginning with in-state and regional offerings before concluding with late-night multi-state events.
The weekly lineup features the regional game Lotto America, which conducts its drawings at 9:15 p.m. Central Time on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The popular South Dakota-specific game Dakota Cash holds its drawings twice per week, locking in winning numbers at 9:00 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
Daily gaming options feature Lucky for Life, which holds its nightly drawings at 9:38 p.m. Central Time, providing regular daily engagement leading into the nightly 10:15 p.m. Central Time Millionaire for Life drawing.
Rounding out the state's draw offerings are the prominent multi-state draw games. Powerball holds its regular drawings at 9:59 p.m. Central Time on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings, while Mega Millions conducts its nationwide drawings at 10:00 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday and Friday nights. Players are reminded to verify all ticket slips with official lottery sources following each scheduled event.
