### Pabst Blue Ribbon Reports Massive Beer Heist from California Distribution Center

A significant theft has recently been reported at a California distribution center, where a substantial shipment of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer has gone missing. The stolen cargo, valued at approximately $70,000, includes roughly 40,000 pounds of the iconic beer. The Montclair Police Department is currently investigating the incident, which has sparked a wave of concern and curiosity among beer enthusiasts and law enforcement alike.

The theft occurred at an Anheuser-Busch distribution center in Montclair, where two separate incidents were reported on August 17. The first involved a shipment valued at about $45,000, destined for Tucson, Arizona, which never reached its destination. Approximately an hour later, a subcontracting company used fraudulent documentation to arrange the pickup of another $25,000 worth of Anheuser-Busch and Pabst Blue Ribbon products.

The similarities between the two incidents have led investigators to believe they may be part of the same operation. Discrepancies in the information provided about the trucking company, driver, and vehicles involved are currently under investigation. No suspects have been publicly identified, and police have not yet confirmed any arrests.

Pabst Blue Ribbon has taken a proactive approach in addressing the theft, using social media to raise awareness and offer a reward for information that could lead to the recovery of the cargo. The company has posted several Instagram posts detailing the theft and emphasizing its seriousness. "To the thief: we don't fault you for wanting to brag to your friends how much PBR you have, we just wish you obtained it the honorable way," the company wrote in one post.

Pabst has also set a deadline for the return of the cargo, giving individuals 18 days and 44 minutes to return the truck without questions asked. The company has been updating its social media followers on the progress of the investigation, with recent posts indicating that the beer is "getting warmer, trail is getting colder."

Despite Pabst's references to a stolen truck in its social media posts, Montclair police clarified that only the cargo was stolen, not the truck itself. The company also expressed hope that the individuals responsible for the theft were aware of the importance of keeping beer cold, emphasizing the need for proper transportation and storage.

This incident follows a high-profile beverage cargo theft involving two Bay Area celebrities less than two years ago. In November 2024, two freight trucks carrying about $1 million worth of Santo Spirits tequila, co-owned by Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar, were reported stolen in Laredo, Texas. The stolen cargo included more than 4,000 cases of tequila, destined for California and Pennsylvania.

The theft of the Pabst Blue Ribbon beer highlights the ongoing issue of cargo theft in the beverage industry. As companies continue to transport valuable goods across the country, the risk of theft remains a significant concern. The investigation into the Pabst Blue Ribbon theft is ongoing, and authorities are hopeful that the stolen cargo will be recovered soon.

In the meantime, Pabst Blue Ribbon is urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity related to the stolen beer. The company is committed to working with law enforcement to bring the individuals responsible to justice and to ensure that its products are safely delivered to consumers.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of security measures in the transportation and distribution of valuable goods. As the investigation continues, the beverage industry and law enforcement agencies are working together to develop strategies to prevent future thefts and protect the interests of all stakeholders.
