Adult entertainer and platform executive Dominic Ford recently brought together dozens of the adult entertainment industry's most prominent content creators for the inaugural Collab Week Fire Island. The multi-day gathering transformed the historic New York queer vacation haven into an energetic hub for international digital creators looking to produce collaborative content, network with industry peers, and experience the island's unique culture.
As the chief executive officer of the adult subscription service JustFor.Fans, Ford curated an assembly of roughly 60 high-profile adult models from across the globe. The retreat was specifically structured to merge professional content creation opportunities with an immersive group getaway, giving performers a supportive environment to film, socialize, and connect in one of the East Coast's most renowned LGBTQ+ enclaves.
Throughout the week-long event, participants took full advantage of the distinctive attractions and social traditions that define Fire Island. The visiting performers were seen engaging across several local hotspots, alternating between daytime island exploration, collaborative video and photo production, and the island's energetic nighttime celebrations.
Among the standout highlights of the week was an appearance at the Doll Invasion event, where attendees were seen dancing alongside pop music star Kim Petras. The creators also frequented local establishments such as Reflections to mingle and sing, and later took part in the island's nightlife tradition by partying into the late hours at the iconic Underwear Party held at Cherry Grove’s Ice Palace.
The inaugural retreat drew a recognizable roster of adult performers and social media figures. Among the featured creators participating in the Fire Island festivities were models Alfonso, Matthew Ellis, Roxas Caelum, Grant Ducati, and Jace Starr, each of whom documented aspects of their travels and island interactions across their respective social media accounts.
For Ford, establishing a dedicated Collab Week on Fire Island was an initiative rooted in two decades of personal experience. Having visited and spent time on the island for 21 years, the JustFor.Fans executive expressed a deep connection to the destination and felt motivated to introduce a new generation of digital creators to its storied community and atmosphere.
Reflecting on the gathering, Ford emphasized that the trip was intentionally designed to be far more than a typical commercial production assignment. He noted that Fire Island is an environment best experienced in the company of a group, explaining that his primary motivation was to offer creators a collective setting where like-minded peers could share the experience together.
According to Ford, watching the large contingent of creators discover the island for the first time was one of the most rewarding aspects of the initiative. He characterized the entire gathering as a deeply affirming experience for the approximately 60 attendees, many of whom had never previously set foot in the historic New York enclave.
With the first Fire Island installment completed, organizers are already reviewing operational takeaways to refine and expand future editions. Ford explained that having the inaugural year under his belt provided a clear understanding of the event's mechanics, logistical demands, and the specific expectations of participating models.
A primary goal for the next Fire Island installment will be improving accessibility and lowering overall costs for prospective attendees. To mitigate the financial barriers tied to high-season rates, Ford indicated that future planning may incorporate post-season calendar dates, when regional housing options and rental accommodations become substantially more affordable.
The Fire Island initiative serves as a continuation of the collaborative model established during the first Collab Week held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, which launched the previous December. That debut gathering demonstrated strong creator interest in platform-sponsored travel retreats, paving the way for the concept's expansion to New York.
The Puerto Vallarta gathering operated on a considerably larger scale, attracting more than 200 adult models. Ford pointed out that the Mexican destination benefits from a wider selection of venues and lower overall travel expenses, which allowed organizers to offer more extensive daily programming and enabled broader attendance from the creator community.
Digital creators will not need to wait until next summer for the next organized getaway, as Collab Week Puerto Vallarta is scheduled to make its return during the first week of December. Organizers anticipate an even larger turnout than the 200 participants who attended the previous year, with expanded events and activities planned throughout the week.
Access to the upcoming Puerto Vallarta event is open exclusively to verified creators on the JustFor.Fans network, with registration currently underway on the platform. Ford and his team view these recurring collaborative trips as an increasingly vital avenue for community building, content generation, and peer connection within the evolving adult entertainment industry.
